Despite being ordained a pastor of United Families International Church musician Leonard Zhakata defended his move to stage shows in bars.
The musician said he has been on a mission to preach to those who are lost.
“I have been performing for those who are in bars so that they know God. I don’t see anything wrong on us performing in those places,” he said.
The musician insisted that he would continues to stage circular shows.
He said he would release another album before the end of this year.
“We have an album coming this year. I was happy that the current one is doing well on all charts including gospel charts,” he said.
The musician released an album “Zvangu Zvaita” that was widely viewed as a gospel album.
Songs like “Zvangu Zvaita” and “Dhonza Makomborero” have been topping on gospel charts.
He said he would not tell if the coming album would be 100 percent gospel.
“Most stages have been covered and the album is taking shape. We are now finalising some of the songs and we are confident we have put enough effort to give our fans an excellent product,” said Zhakata.
He said he would only tell if the album would carry all gospel songs after recording.
“I cannot tell if the album will contain gospel tracks because we can only tell the theme after we get out of the studio,” he said.
The Mugove hit maker added that they had been delayed by the fact that he is working with new band members.
“As you know three of my band members have moved on so we are working on the album with new members otherwise we should have released it in March,” he said.
He said he would be offering a completely new package to his fans.
