Music superstar Oliver Mtukudzi will feature on gospel musician Mathias Mhere’s third album “Glory to Glory” to be released this Friday.
The eight track album will see Mtukudzi featuring on a track titled “Tsano Handei”.
Mtukudzi’s manager Sam Mataure confirmed the development saying it was another chance for the superstar to show his passion in uplifting upcoming artists.
“It is good because mudhara (Tuku) is working with artists from different genres showing his passion to see the music industry growing,” he said.
Mataure said people should expect a number of interesting collaborations this year.
Mhere said he was happy that the “Kudzinga Hwema” hit maker accepted his request for collaboration.
“We still have a lot to learn from mudhara (Tuku) and we are grateful that he accepted our request,” he said.
Mhere said all the ground work has been done and fans should look forward to a different package.
“Most of the songs are complete and by the end of this month everything will be in place,” he said.
The “Favour” hit maker said he has engaged new producer Charles Ayibeki on the album.
“My previous albums have been done by Lyton Ngolomi but for a change this one we have Ayibeki as our producer,” he said.
He said some of the songs to be featured on the album include “Mazuva Akare”, “Vasiye Varonge”, “Pahushamwari”, “It’s not Over” and “Mwari Variko”.
“Like my previous albums “Glory to Glory” looks at different aspects of Christianity,” said Mhere.
